A Second Thought
Hey there.
I feel like posting.
What up..!
Why is it that sequels more likely NEVER get the recognition they deserve, even if they are technically and idea-wise at the same level as their prequel?
Well, that’s exactly why!
Let me delve deeper into it.
Tell me, it’s not that hard if you give it a thought.
What is it that makes a movie Great and Different?
It’s Context!
When you see a movie, you compare it to the other waste of reel that’s out there and you rapidly understand that that movie was a Must-See Hit.
Then, the equation gets simplified.
What happens when the So Long Awaited Sequel finally comes out?
Well, the same process resets.
And, guess what.
There is a New Movie in the horizon.
What movie is that? you ask.
And you guessed right.
It’s that Awesome Hit that was released two Summers back.
No wonder sequels suck that much.
They are compared even to the previous movie!
Now you know the ugly truth about how selfish Humans are.
They don’t want anything to be the same as something that was before.
Even if they don’t really know about it.
Ugly Humans!
Oh, nice Tan you got there, Black Sheep-Lover!
So long and have a nice week!
Love, The Movie-Critic Sign Painter.
